If you are an Etsy seller and having FinerWorks fulfill you orders, make sure you are aware of some changes that started up a few days ago on the Etsy platform. Starting August 11, 2021, Etsy implemented a policy that requires its sellers to provide shipment tracking information for any U.S. destination orders that are $10 or more, in order to be able to change the status to “complete” within their Etsy dashboard.

Recently I spoke with a lady that felt like she had been hit by a tidal wave in the past few weeks. Her normal printer still had not re-opened and she had a backlog of hundreds of orders from her Shopify site to fulfill. Some printers she had contacted said they had a 3 to 4-week turnaround time on average right now, not including shipping and others could not give her a definite answer as to when they could start. I told her we ourselves as a printer of fine art were quite a bit busier than normal but since these were relatively simple orders to process, we should still be able to get them all out quicker then some of the others.

Over the past two decades I have had a front row seat when it comes to observing how people promote and sell their artwork. I have also said that when it comes to promoting your artwork, you are also promoting yourself as an artist. Interesting to me is how the methods have changed. Today, in 2020 the top method was not even in existence 20 years ago and barely there almost 10 years ago when it first started.
