How AI is Revolutionizing the Visual Arts…or Not

If you have been keeping up with trends lately, you probably know that AI has been a major topic of conversation from media circles to individuals. Various questions arise such as how will AI affect one’s ability to use it for investing in stocks to controversies surrounding its usage in higher education to write term papers. This past week was a whirlwind of activity. I had the privilege of spending several exciting days in the entertainment hub of the world, Las Vegas.  I was not there to gamble and have fun, (okay, there was a little of that), but to attend the Printing United Expo of 2022, which is billed as “THE MOST DYNAMIC AND COMPREHENSIVE PRINTING EVENT IN THE WORLD”. Your Prints Up Close

I remember back in the mid to late 90s being exposed to the photographic quality inkjet prints were producing around then. A co-worker of mine who photographed little league sports photography on the side and sold the prints he made to the parents. He had invested in a HP printer which produced remarkable 8×10 photo prints for that time. When he showed me the print quality I was enamored and decided I wanted to get my hands on a good quality inkjet printer so that I could make prints of my digital artwork.
