New Shpping Options and Changes

We have started to simplify our shipping options by consolidating shipping of items coming from our Atlanta, GA and San Antonio, TX color labs. This means if you order items shipped from both locations you will not need to select two shipping methods. Instead shipping cost from both locations will be consolidated into one. In addition this year we will look into moving production of some of the products you may order from our Atlanta based  lab to San Antonio which could mean some of these items will ship from a more centralized location within the U.S. This would alsol speed up average delivery time for those products. We are also in the process of adding some new domestic shipping options and fine tuning the cost of International Shipping. These should go into affect next week. You may know that shipping rate increases by the US Postal Service have been ongoing with another substantial increase this year. The good news is with these new domestic shipping options we will be able to keep overall shipping around the same and even less for some of the larger unmounted prints and posters.

New UPS Shipping Options

As an alternative to USPS Priority Mail, FinerWorks will now offer several new UPS shipping options. UPS SurePost is one of them. It's a hybrid service between UPS and USPS. This will allow some shipping methods that cost less than UPS ground when ordering some larger size unmounted prints. Packages are picked up by UPS from our production facility in San Antonio, TX and will be delivered by either your mail carrier or UPS. And if you need it quicker, for a little above the cost of UPS Ground ($14.95) you may be able to select UPS 3 Day Air.
View our shipping page for size restrictions. UPS Tracking will be provided for UPS SurePost and expect transit time to be similar to UPS Ground or USPS First Class Mail.

International Shipping Rate Update

There will be an increase in International shipping rates starting next week (orders going outside the U.S). Below are the new rates
  • USPS International: $19.95
  • USPS International Parcel: $45.95
Unfortunately an increase in International shipping is not something we are excited about. It is actually something that we have postponed for a while but could no longer avoid due to a sharp increase by the U.S. Postal Service. Typically the cost for most International shipments is higher than what we charge when you average shipments out each day, but the differences had become too high to sustain if we are going to still offer International shipping options. We will explore some alternatives to the USPS to lower these costs and will keep you posted.
