When ordering a gloss or matte stretched and mounted canvas print you now have the option to order a basic finishing at no charge or professional finishing for $15. Both are optional and either is recommended if you plan to hang your stretched & mounted canvas print unframed. Continue reading for more details on these options.
The basic finishing simply consists of free installation of a sawtooth hanger making your canvas print ready to hang right out of the box (Note we no longer are able to offer the beehive hangers due to a supplier issue). Larger canvas prints may have the sawtooth hangers placed on each top corner of the print while the small and mid size canvas will have it installed at top center.
The professional finishing is something we now offer since it's highly demanded by photographers, interior designers and others in the professional imaging field consists of black Tyvek® backing, sawtooth hanger installation and clear plastic bumpers on each corner. The black Tyvek® is a paper light but tear resistant material which will cover the staples and come within about a quarter inch to the edge. This covers the back opening therefore preventing dust and other environmental particles from accumulating. Like the basic finishing, larger canvas prints may have the sawtooth hangers placed on each top corner of the print while the small and mid size canvas will have it installed at top center. The clear plastic bumpers are also added at each corner therefore protecting your wall from scuffs and scratches while also offsetting the canvas form the wall by a small fraction of an inch.
