Not sure if the Artisan Canvas is right for you? Many of the artists at FinerWorks love the Artisan Canvas because of its slightly semi-gloss appearance. It gives image a degree of “pop” which is a term photographer sometimes use to express how well it displays a balance of contrast and detail.

A while back a young lady came to us because she was concerned by some prints another company had produced for her. She initially loved the prints but discovered that after a few years the colors had turned a chalky white.

Printing on wood is becoming more popular than ever, but is it right for you? While it is important to keep up with current trends, it should never be to the detriment of your artwork or fine art photography.

Above is an example of a very textured surface painting. The background was supposed to appear primarily white with daubs of other colors to it. Notice how the light enhances the texture. Those highlighted texture bumps are all over the image.

So what’s is Copyright and how may it affect you if you want to truly protect your art and your rights as an artist? The definition is simple. Just like the word says, it is the right to copy something. In this case we are referring to forms of art including photography.
